Oh the Glee!

Are you guys watching Glee, on Fox Wednesday nights? If you aren't I strongly advise you to start, you will not regret it. Tonight there was a musical number set to the song Busta' Move and I could hardly contain myself. So good I had to break my blog of silence. And check out that cutie with the bow tie.

Resolution #2

Today I'm going to make these which I've never done before but have always wanted to.  Which brings me to my next new years resolution, try something new.  It's easy to get caught up in our routines but why not spice it up a little, instead of chocolate chip I'm making parisian macaroons.  I'll let you know how it goes.

How?

How does time pass so quickly, I've had eleven months with this guy and it seems like he just arrived yesterday.  And how can a little creature be more perfect.  I just love watching him, he has the funniest mannerisms, except for the biting, not so cute. But hey nobodies perfect right.

Resolution #1

I'm a little behind, but it's never to late to make resolutions and I have decided that my New Year is starting in February.  So with that being said, resolution #1 - cook.  I picked this up at Target today to help me accomplish my goal. It is rad, I love it. The recipes are arranged by seasons, so everything is fresh. They are fast and easy using a few ingredients and the best part are the pictures. There are colored illustrations for EVERY single recipe, cool huh.

Hello

I know it's been a while, and a lot has happen since I last posted.  Hendrix' first Christmas was memorable, shopping, wrapping, baking and moving. Yes, we moved and are now living with my parents.  It's a pretty sweet set up, less cleaning, less baking, more help with Hendrix. The only draw back is dealing with my crazy parents. Okay maybe crazy is harsh, we'll say quirky.

Ninja Turtle in Training

Henry's first Halloween.  I have to take advantage of the fact that Henry doesn't have an opinion yet, so this year he's a boring turtle and not a super hero.  Or is he?  Did you ever wonder what a baby Ninja Turtle looks like?  By the way Uncle Jordan we took your original ninja turtles out of the box and Henry is having a blast playing with them, hope you don't mind.

Pumpkin

Happy Fall, I can't believe were just a few weeks from Thanksgiving.  Henry is looking forward to meeting his cousins form the east coast and spending Thanksgiving day at DISNEYLAND!  This will be his second trip, he's avid pin collector. (I know I say this every post, but seriously is he not the cutest).

Giddy-up!

Our little cowboy is six months old.  He has his first tooth, he eats cereal, bananas and pears, he can drink water out of a sippy cup and he loves to jump up and down in his exer-saucer.  Oh ya and he's the most perfect, adorable, smart, cute, funny, lovable, cowboy boy in the whole world. (thanks for the photo Alissa, we had a blast hanging out we should do it again soon)

Head Shots

The many different faces of Henry.  Were thinking about getting him into modeling or acting.  I like his surprised face.

Olivia

This is my cousin Olivia, she's just a little pup.  I'll have to teach her how to role over, it's a good trick, my parents go crazy when I role over.

A day at the beach

The other day we went to the Avila beach, it was a little overcast but we had fun all the same.  The first picture is of me and my Dad, the second is me with my friend Sandy the sea horse (thanks aunt Kathy).

What happened to my baby?

Hendrix rolled over for the first time last week, now a week later he can roll this way and that, he can do one roll after another, there's just no stopping him.  It's amazing how quickly they catch on and learn new things, and change into little people.  I looked at pictures of him when he was a couple weeks old and I hardly recognize him.

Zucchini Bread

Craig planted a garden and we have tons of Zucchini, so tomorrow I'm going to make Zucchini bread. I'll let you know how it goes.

Cousins

Hendrix met his cousin Kingston for the first time this weekend.  Kingston is such a sweet boy, smiley, happy and so much fun.  Hendrix can't wait to hang out with him again.

Congratulations Emmie!

We had so much fun this weekend at my little cousin Emerald's wedding, doesn't she look beautiful (Henry thinks so).  Nobody throws a party like aunt Happy.  It was a garden reception in there back yard and it was amazing,  I wish I would have taken a picture of the cupcake tower and the hydrangeas.

I can't wait!

Besides my sweet beautiful little boy this is what's making me happy today.  New fabric from Heather Bailey.  I haven't been this excited about a new line in a long time, I've been day dreaming about what I could do with it. Maybe a new diaper bag, an apron, a tablecloth or maybe even a skirt out of the big floral print.  Go here to see the full slide show of the fabric line and let me know what you would do with it.

Peanut Butter Surprises

I was in a baking mood today so I made these cookies. Bad idea. I ate four of them. But I do recommend them, I think that peanut butter and chocolate are a match made in heaven.
